Hey everyone! I wanted to share my recent success in integrating my SmartThings setup with SimpliSafe. It’s been a journey, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out.
For those who might be interested, my goal was to automatically disarm my SimpliSafe system when I enter my house. I purchased the SimpliSafe fob and a relay to control it via SmartThings. The challenge was figuring out how to wire the fob to the relay without damaging either device.
After some research and a few trial runs, I managed to crack the case on the fob and connect it to the relay. Now, whenever my SmartThings Presence sensor detects me entering the house, it triggers the relay, which simulates pressing the ‘home’ button on the fob. It’s seamless and incredibly convenient!
