I’ve been working on integrating several smart devices into my home, and it’s been both challenging and rewarding. Today, I’d like to talk about two projects I’ve been focusing on: my solar power setup and my smart cameras.
First, let’s talk about my solar power system. I’ve installed a 600W photovoltaic system on my balcony, which includes two panels and an inverter. The goal is to generate enough electricity to power my home devices. However, I’ve been wondering how to monitor the energy production in real-time. I came across some discussions about Home automation tools that can track energy usage, but I’m not sure which one would work best with my current setup. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your recommendations!
Now, moving on to my smart cameras. I’ve recently set up two Reolink Atlas PT Ultra cameras with a hub. They’re integrated into my home automation system, and while they work, I’m having a bit of trouble with the live stream and snapshot settings. The snapshots update too frequently, which drains the battery on the cameras. I’d like to adjust the interval to something more reasonable, like every 30 minutes. Additionally, when I click on the camera to view the live stream, it doesn’t start automatically. I’m not sure where to find the settings to fix this in my home automation platform. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
