I recently had the opportunity to install 18 solar PV panels on my roof, and I’m thrilled to share how I’ve integrated them into my smart home ecosystem. Using two Huawei SUN2000-4ktl-L1 inverters, I wanted to create a system that not only generates clean energy but also interacts seamlessly with my smart devices.
One of my favorite projects has been setting up an automation system that ties my solar energy production to my home comfort. I’ve configured the system to monitor the solar output and, when it exceeds 2kWh during the day, it automatically turns on the AC to maintain a comfortable temperature. In the evening, as the solar production winds down, the system switches off the AC and activates my Tado TRVs to take over heating duties. It’s been a fantastic way to optimize energy usage and reduce reliance on grid power.
