Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with you all. 
First off, I’ve been exploring the idea of integrating my standby generator into my home’s energy dashboard. I’ve got a Kohler generator, and it’s been a lifesaver during power outages. The thought of having it fully integrated into my smart home setup is pretty exciting! I’ve heard that other brands like Generac also have integrations, so I’m curious to see if this becomes a standard feature in the future. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your thoughts! 
Another project I’ve been working on is setting up outdoor cameras for my property. I live in a remote area, and having real-time monitoring is crucial for security. I’ve been experimenting with different camera placements and trying to optimize their range. One thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes there’s a delay between recording events, especially if I’m not within close proximity. Has anyone else experienced this? I’d love to know if there’s a way to reduce this delay or ensure continuous recording. 
On a lighter note, I’ve also been playing around with automations to make my life a bit easier. For example, I’ve set up my lights to turn on when the TV turns on and off when it’s turned off. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference! If anyone has more creative automation ideas, I’m all ears! 
Lastly, I wanted to share a tip I came across for troubleshooting camera connectivity issues. Sometimes, simply reloading the frame or checking the network settings can make all the difference. It’s all about persistence and a bit of trial and error!
