Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my experience integrating Venetian blinds into Home Assistant. I’ve been using HA for a while now, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for my home automation setup. One of the features I’ve been particularly interested in is controlling my Venetian blinds, which allow both vertical position adjustments and tilt angle settings.
Initially, setting up the actual steering via HA was straightforward. However, I wanted to take it a step further by visually representing both the vertical position and tilt angle within Lovelace. I didn’t want the interface to take up too much space, as I have quite a few blinds to manage. After some research and experimentation, I found a solution that works beautifully!
I stumbled upon a community-created Lovelace card that perfectly displays both settings in a compact, yet informative way. It uses a combination of sliders and visual indicators, making it easy to adjust both settings simultaneously. The best part? It integrates seamlessly with my existing setup, so I don’t have to worry about any compatibility issues.
This integration has completely transformed how I manage my blinds. I can now adjust them with just a few taps on my phone or through voice commands, all while keeping my interface clean and organized. It’s amazing how a small tweak can make such a big difference in usability.
I’m now looking forward to exploring more ways to enhance my HA setup. If anyone has tips or tricks for optimizing Lovelace cards, I’d love to hear them! Happy automating! ![]()
