Hello everyone, I’m thrilled to share my recent journey into the world of home automation! As a newbie, I’ve been diving into research and setting up my smart home system. I recently purchased the Vera -3 controller, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic experience so far. I’ve successfully integrated two multisensory devices from Aeon Labs, two Foscam cameras, and the AD2USB to connect Vera with my existing wired alarm system (Vista 20p). Configuring all the zones in Vera has been smooth, and everything seems to be working perfectly. However, I have a question that I hope the community can help me with.
I’m curious about how to access the siren that’s already part of my existing wired system. My goal is to activate the siren as part of some scenes in Vera. Do I need to create a new zone specifically for the siren, or is there another way to achieve this? I’m eager to explore the possibilities and ensure that my security system is fully integrated with my smart home setup.
I’m also looking forward to hearing about others’ experiences with Vera and similar integrations. Have any of you successfully linked your existing security systems with Vera?
