Hey everyone! I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my existing video surveillance system with SmartThings to create a more seamless smart home experience. I currently have a DVR-based system with IP cameras, and I’d love to leverage the power of IFTTT to automate certain actions. For example, when a door sensor is triggered, I’d like the corresponding camera to start recording or send a notification with a snapshot.
I know there are plenty of standalone IP cameras that work well with SmartThings, but I’m curious if there’s a way to make my current setup work without switching everything out. I’ve heard Samsung offers some surveillance systems that might be compatible, but I’m not sure how they integrate with third-party systems.
