Hi everyone, I’m working on a project to monitor the vibration of motors in our gear hobbing machines. We’re looking to implement an IoT solution to detect vibration peaks and alignment issues automatically. Currently, we rely on manual testing with PLC, which is time-consuming and doesn’t provide real-time insights.
Our design engineer suggested using wireless vibration sensors, specifically the IoT Long Range Wireless Vibration and Temperature Sensor, to send data to a web server database. The goal is to display this data on smartphones for easy monitoring and maintenance.
As a newcomer to this field, I need your advice on the best way to implement this process. What IoT platforms or protocols would you recommend for seamless integration? Are there any specific considerations for industrial environments or long-range wireless communication?
Any tips or experiences you’ve had with similar projects would be greatly appreciated! Let’s collaborate to make this project a success. ![]()
