Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with integrating Xiaomi Zigbee devices with my existing Fibaro system. The goal was to create a unified system that’s both reliable and easy to manage. While there were a few bumps along the way, the results have been nothing short of amazing!
One of the challenges I encountered was fitting the Xiaomi Aquara wall switch into a European round wall box. Initially, it seemed like a daunting task, but after some research and careful modification, it worked perfectly! The switch now seamlessly integrates with my Fibaro system, allowing me to control my lights even when the Zigbee mesh is down.
Another exciting project was setting up my outdoor lighting system using Govee’s Permanent Outdoor Lights Pro. The installation process was straightforward with a little help from a friend, and the results are stunning! The app’s scene customization options let me adjust the brightness to ensure it’s neighbor-friendly, and the 36-month warranty gives me peace of mind.
