Hey everyone, I’m trying to integrate my Xiaomi devices with SmartThings using the Xiaomi Mi Home gateway. I’ve heard there’s a smartapp for this, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I want my Xiaomi devices to connect through the gateway and then to my SmartThings hub. Does anyone know if this is possible or have any tips? I really don’t want the Xiaomi devices to connect directly to my SmartThings hub, so any help would be appreciated! ![]()
On another note, I’ve been struggling with my ESPHome device showing as offline in Home Assistant. The API port responds, and I can see logs via the ESPHome dashboard, but Home Assistant thinks it’s unreachable. I suspect it might be related to a database corruption issue after running out of disk space. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I’ve tried a firmware upgrade, but it didn’t fix the issue.
Also, I’m curious about setting up granular permissions in Home Assistant for different family members. I live on a farm and want to control access to devices on different floors and areas. Is there a way to achieve this without multiple hubs? I’ve heard about separate WiFi networks but not sure how to implement permissions effectively.
Lastly, I came across a creative solution for monitoring device offline status using Reactor App. It involves polling devices and sending notifications if they go offline. I’m thinking of trying this for my outdoor freezer, which sometimes loses power. If anyone has experience with this setup, I’d love to hear about your experiences!
Thanks in advance for any advice or insights! ![]()
