Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share my recent journey of integrating my Xiaomi Mi devices into Home Assistant. I’ve been using Google Home before, but I decided to switch over to HA for more customization and control. I have a few Xiaomi devices like the Bedside Lamp Mijia and the Smart LED lights, all using Wi-Fi, not Zigbee. I was a bit worried about the setup, but it turned out to be smoother than I expected!
First, I made sure all my devices were properly connected to my home network. Then, I discovered the Xiaomi Miio integration in HA, which made the whole process a breeze. I was able to pair my lamps and LEDs without any issues. The best part? I can now control them through my phone or even set up automations based on my routines. For example, I set up a scene where my lights dim automatically when I watch TV in the evening. It’s such a nice touch!
I also found some great community resources that helped me tweak the settings to get the most out of my devices. If anyone is considering switching to HA from Google Home, I highly recommend it! The ecosystem is incredibly flexible, and the community support is amazing. If you have any questions or tips, feel free to drop them here—I’m all ears! ![]()
