I’ve been on a bit of a journey lately trying to integrate my Xiaomi Light Sensors with my C8 Pro hub, and I thought I’d share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
So, first off, I’ve been using these Xiaomi sensors for a while now, and they’ve been working great with my C8 hub. But recently, after migrating to the C8 Pro, I ran into an issue where one of my sensors lost its connection and wouldn’t reconnect. It was a bit frustrating, but I managed to find a workaround that might be helpful for others in the same boat. 
Here’s what I did: I paired the problematic sensor with my old C7 hub and then brought it back into the C8 Pro network via the existing hub mesh. It worked like a charm! This experience made me realize how important it is to understand the nuances of pairing devices with different hubs, especially when dealing with Zigbee sensors. 
If you’re dealing with similar issues, here are a few tips I’d like to share:
- Check for Firmware Updates: Always ensure your hubs and devices are running the latest firmware. Sometimes, a simple update can resolve connectivity issues.
- Use Hub Mesh: If direct pairing with your new hub isn’t working, try using an existing hub mesh to bring the device into the network. It’s a great way to maintain connectivity without starting from scratch.
- Test in a Controlled Environment: Before integrating devices into your main network, test them in a controlled environment to identify and resolve any issues early on.
