Integrating Zigbee and Z-Wave Devices for Seamless Automation

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: I recently upgraded my lighting setup to include Lightify RGBW Smart recessed lights and switched to the Inovelli LZW31-SN dimming switch. The goal was to create a seamless dimming experience across multiple locations, but I ran into a bit of a snag with the lag in dimming functionality. After some research, I discovered that since the bulbs are Zigbee and the switch is Z-Wave, direct association isn’t possible. However, I found a workaround by mirroring the lights to the switch and setting up scenes for different brightness levels. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done! :bulb:Another project I’ve been working on is integrating my existing door sensors with my Hubitat setup. I’ve been using AT&T Digital Life sensors for years, and while they’ve served me well, I wanted to leverage the advanced automation features of Hubitat. The challenge was figuring out how to make these sensors communicate with two different hubs. After some digging, I found that it’s possible to configure them to work alongside Hubitat, though it requires a bit of tweaking. The satisfaction of seeing everything work together smoothly was worth the effort! :unlock:I’d love to hear from others who’ve successfully integrated multiple brands or found innovative solutions to similar challenges. Let’s share tips and tricks to make our smart homes even smarter! :handshake:
