Hey everyone! I’m diving into the world of smart home automation and wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
I recently set up a Zigbee network using Deconz and Phoscon, and it’s been a fantastic journey. One of the highlights has been integrating my Aqara doorbell with Homey, allowing me to play notifications through my Sonos speakers. It’s such a seamless experience! 
However, I’ve encountered a few bumps in the road. For instance, my Wyze cameras occasionally show connectivity issues, and I’m still figuring out the best way to handle motion detection without constant polling. I’ve heard about webhooks being a potential solution, but I’m not entirely sure how to implement them yet. Any advice would be appreciated! 
Another project I’m excited about is automating my outdoor lights. I set up a simple automation using SmartThings to turn them on at dusk and off at dawn. It’s been working like a charm, but I’d love to add motion sensors to make it even smarter. I’m curious if anyone has tips on ensuring reliable communication between sensors and the hub, especially in areas with potential Wi-Fi interference. 
On the topic of integrations, I’ve been exploring how to connect my Kostal Piko MP solar inverter to Home Assistant. Using Node-RED and XML parsing, I managed to create custom sensors for real-time data. It’s a bit technical, but seeing the data flow into my dashboard is incredibly satisfying!
