Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating Zigbee devices into my smart home setup. It’s been quite a journey, and I thought I’d document some of the challenges and solutions I encountered along the way.First, I started by setting up a few Zigbee motion sensors and door contacts. The initial setup was smooth, and I was excited to see everything working together. However, I soon noticed that one of my outdoor motion sensors wasn’t displaying energy data correctly. The sensor showed up as an open/close sensor instead of a motion sensor, which was confusing. After some research, I realized that the issue was with the device type configuration in the app. I had to manually change it back to the correct type, and now it’s working perfectly!Another challenge I faced was with my Wyze cameras. I wanted to store video clips on a USB drive, but the app kept saying there were no clips available, even though I was receiving notifications. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that the USB drive wasn’t formatted correctly. Once I reformatted it, the issue resolved, and the clips started appearing as expected.I also wanted to mention the fantastic community support I’ve received. When I was struggling with the Zigbee binding configuration, someone pointed me to a detailed guide that helped me set everything up correctly. It’s amazing how helpful and supportive the community is.For anyone looking to integrate Zigbee devices, I recommend starting with a few basic sensors and gradually expanding. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to the community for help—it’s been invaluable for me.Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps someone else on their smart home journey!
