I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey!
I’ve managed to connect a variety of devices, from my trusty TP-Link Kasa smart plugs to some sleek Shelly switches. It’s amazing how everything works together seamlessly once you get the hang of it. However, there’s one issue that’s been bugging me lately, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light on it.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed some mysterious “stray” Zigbee devices showing up in my device list. They appear as generic “Device, System Source, unknown status” entries, and they seem to pop up around 4-5 AM. It’s a bit unsettling, to say the least. I’ve had to re-pair my Xiaomi devices a couple of times after updating my system, but they’ve finally stabilized. Still, these unknown devices are throwing me off a bit. Does anyone else experience this, or know what might be causing it? ![]()
On a more positive note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with how my Zigbee network has performed overall. The integration process has been smooth, and the devices are responding beautifully. I’ve even managed to create a few simple automations that have made my life a whole lot easier. For example, my Philips Hue lights now dim automatically when I turn on my TV, creating the perfect movie-watching ambiance. It’s these little touches that really make you appreciate the potential of smart home technology. ![]()
If anyone has any insights into those stray Zigbee devices, or tips for maintaining a stable network, I’d be more than grateful to hear them! Happy integrating, everyone! ![]()
