Integrating Zigbee Devices with RaspberryMatic and RedMatic

I’ve recently been exploring the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! After setting up my Raspberry Pi 3B+ with RaspberryMatic, I’ve successfully integrated all my HomeMatic and HomeMatic IP devices into HomeKit. It’s been a smooth process, and I’ve really enjoyed how everything works seamlessly together. However, I’ve been wanting to expand my setup by adding Zigbee devices, like some Xiaomi sensors, without having to rely on a separate gateway.

Here’s where things get a bit tricky. I’ve heard that adding a ConBee 2 stick to my existing Raspberry Pi setup could be the solution. But I’m not entirely sure how to go about it. Would it interfere with my current setup? How complicated is the process of adding and pairing new Zigbee devices? I’m really hoping to avoid the hassle of another gateway, especially one tied to the cloud.

If anyone has experience with this setup, I’d love to hear about your experiences! Have you successfully integrated Zigbee devices into your HomeKit ecosystem using RaspberryMatic? Any tips or potential pitfalls I should be aware of? I’m eager to dive into this project and take my smart home setup to the next level. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out! :rocket:
