Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with integrating a Zigbee dimmer with my Calex filament lights. After struggling with flickering and instability using other dimmers like the Fibaro Dimmer 2 and Qubino Mini, I came across a review suggesting the Zigbee Dimmer might be the solution. I decided to give it a try, and I’m thrilled to say it worked perfectly!
Here’s what I did:
- Research: I read several reviews and forums to find a dimmer compatible with my Calex lights. The Zigbee Dimmer was recommended for its compatibility with filament bulbs.
- Setup: I followed the standard installation process for Zigbee devices. The dimmer paired seamlessly with my Zigbee hub.
- Testing: I started with a single light to ensure everything worked smoothly. The dimming was smooth, and there was no flickering.
- Expansion: Once I confirmed the success with one bulb, I expanded the setup to include all my Calex lights. The results were consistent across all bulbs.
Additional Bonus: I also integrated the dimmer with Google Assistant through Home Assistant. Now, I can control the lights with voice commands like “Hey Google, dim the living room lights to 50%.” It’s incredibly convenient!
If anyone else is struggling with dimming filament bulbs, I highly recommend giving the Zigbee Dimmer a try. It’s been a game-changer for my setup!
