Integrating Zigbee Motion Sensors with Raspberry Pi

I recently set up a Raspberry Pi with RaspberryMatic to integrate some new Zigbee motion sensors into my home automation system. It’s been a great experience so far, but I have a few questions and observations to share.

First, I’m trying to configure a motion sensor to automatically enable at night and turn on the outdoor lights for a set duration after detecting motion. I’ve heard that the Vorin Asimo sensor is a good option, but I’m not sure if it’s compatible with my current setup. Also, with the new Matter protocol on the horizon, should I consider future-proofing my devices now?

Another thing I’m curious about is whether it’s feasible to use a Fibaro Double Switch 2 (FGS-223) without connecting a load to it. I’ve read that it could help with automation, but I’m not entirely sure how that would work in practice. Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

On a lighter note, I’ve found that organizing my devices in the RaspberryMatic interface makes managing them much easier. I’d love to hear how others structure their setups for optimal efficiency.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to this community—it’s truly a wealth of knowledge!
