I’m curious to know whether Aqara products can be updated via another manufacturers hub? For instance, can you update Aqara matter light bulbs firmware via an ikea dirigera hub?

@chris83 For firmware updates, Aqara’s current direction is that Matter device firmware updating isn’t something we can generally rely on across ecosystems yet—our team is still working on newer versions of Aqara Thread/Matter devices, and it may take time before they have firmware that can be updated in the way you’re expecting.
So in practice, updating an Aqara Matter light bulb via a third-party hub like IKEA Dirigera may not be supported/available (and even if basic control works, firmware update paths are often vendor-specific). If you want the most reliable experience inside Aqara Home, having an Aqara Matter controller (e.g., Hub M100 / Hub M3 / Camera Hub G5 Pro) under your Aqara account also lets you add other brands’ Matter downlights into Aqara Home.
