That distinction helps—especially the requirement for a separate Thread border router. When you moved, did the Apple Home accessory identities also stay stable, or only the panel’s Aqara-side configuration? That would clarify whether the desktop version needs a fresh Matter-bridge exposure after relocation.

Everything has remained the same and stayed intact, since I didn’t change any names on the Wi-Fi router, Apple HomePod, Aqara M3, the panel, or anywhere else.
Basically, I just cut the power to the devices and restored it a short while later. The devices don’t know they are “living” somewhere else now, provided that all name parameters and network access credentials remained unchanged.
However, I made sure to restore power to the devices as quickly as possible, because I didn’t know how long they could retain their stored settings without power.

That makes the scope much clearer: the same devices and network configuration survived a power cycle, with no reset or re-pairing involved. I’d keep that separate from replacing a bridge or moving accessories into a new Apple Home, where we’d still need to check identities and automation links. Your short power-off test also leaves long-term unpowered storage untested, which is a useful distinction.

Well, here’s one thing I can definitely tell you:
I recently dug an Aqara window sensor out of a drawer. I hadn’t had any use for it since moving house—until recently.
When I paired it—a year after the move—the Aqara app displayed the sensor’s old name. That means I hadn’t performed a factory reset back then, so the name and device ID had remained stored all that time.

That adds a useful longer-term observation: Aqara Home recovered the old name when the sensor was paired again. The name alone does not tell us whether it was retained on the sensor, hub, or account, so I would keep that separate from proving that pairing and automation links survived. Did its existing automations resume too, or did you only check the restored name?

I didn’t have any automation linked to this sensor.
I think if you follow the rule of not changing the names, SSID, etc., it’s smooth sailing.
