After spending considerable time exploring different solutions, I’ve developed a custom binding that integrates OwnTracks and GPSLogger directly over HTTP. This integration allows for seamless geofencing and presence detection, which I’ve been testing extensively on my setup without any issues.
The binding enables users to track their location and automate smart home devices based on their proximity. For instance, you can set your lights to turn on as you approach your home or adjust your thermostat based on your arrival.
