Hello everyone,
I’ve been working with the ION9000 to capture voltage sag/swell data and have configured the threshold to +/- 10%. The data is linked to the IEC61850 module for communication. While everything seems to be working as expected, I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in the recorded data that I’d like to understand better.
During a voltage sag event, the DistVmin was recorded at 90.61%, which is within the acceptable limit and shouldn’t have triggered the capture. However, when I checked the ION9000 webpage, the voltage depth was shown as 90%. This discrepancy is puzzling, and I’m curious to know why the data isn’t aligning.
Another observation I’d like to share is about the DistVMax and DistVMin values. In one instance, the DistVMax was recorded as 89.83%, which is smaller than the DistVMin of 90.59%. According to the definitions, DistVMin should represent the minimum magnitude during the disturbance, so this seems unusual. I’d appreciate any insights or explanations regarding this behavior.
I’ve attached some screenshots to provide a clearer picture of the data I’m seeing. If anyone has encountered similar issues or can shed some light on why this might be happening, I’d be grateful for your input.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
