I recently installed the Aqara Smart Lock U400 and I’m really enjoying its features so far. However, I’m wondering if there’s a way to enable or add an audible indicator sound when the lock locks or unlocks.
Right now, it seems pretty silent unless you’re close enough to hear the mechanism. I’d prefer having a short beep or tone so I can confirm the action—especially when locking remotely or when the door is out of direct sight.
My questions:
- Does the U400 have a built‑in setting to enable lock/unlock sound notifications?
- If not, is there any workaround via the Aqara Home app, automations, or firmware updates?
- Has anyone managed to trigger a sound using a connected hub or smart speaker as an alternative?
