Recently installed u50 and u300 on a door. Are there any options for NFC tags to be put on schedule. So far not see any automation options in the mobile app. I also have homeassistant setup but don’t see anything exposing NFC tags form there either. I have maids cleaning that NFC tag would be easier to use than a code but don’t want the maids to have 24 hour access. Using pass codes for now since that allows me to set certain times and days.
@geachy You seem to be experiencing an issue with scheduling NFC tag access for time-restricted use. Based on the current product information, there is no relevant content about scheduling NFC tags for access time restrictions.

Hi Geachy, our current periodic password feature only supports numeric passwords. The NFC card can only be used as a door-unlocking device and cannot be used to create automations or set effective time periods. We will add your request to our product requirements pool. Thank you very much for your feedback.
I would like additionally to say that you can create NFC tags in Home Assistant and also use them on a time-based basis with automation to open doors.
However, Home Assistant scans for NFC tags using your smartphone and does not use the u50 or u300 as a reader. Therefore, your maids would need to install the Home Assistant app on their smartphones. In addition, the smartphone would need to be able to access your Home Assistant server, and you would need to create user accounts for your maids.
And the biggest problem is that you can currently only create normal users and administrators in Home Assistant. There is no guest access. There are workarounds to show users only certain dashboards, but these do not prevent users from accessing more than they should. This may be sufficient for your maids, as long as they are not hackers, but there is still a residual risk.
I guess that’s not quite what you were hoping for.
Having the maids have app installed on phone/s isn’t an option. Also the people that come each time can change each visit. Meaning there would be chance the person coming that time isn’t setup.
The whole Users permissions level makes things undesirable. Since that would give access to way more devices than desired.
Having home assistant be the NFC reader is interesting. Made me understand the whole hidden NFC tags conversation I had seen in other places more. Especially since it made me realize if someone doesn’t have homeassistant setup to my home scanning a NFC would not trigger automation/s. Will probably use that type of idea to slightly mimic homekey on android on for at least one door. Thanks for that insight.
