I own 4 E1 cameras all set up the same. All four connected to Aqara app and HomeKit.
All four updated to newest FW
On one of them, the LED is always red. Even when not streaming. The other three are blue when not streaming.
What could be causing this?

@rscalzo It sounds like you’re experiencing an issue with one of your E1 cameras where the LED remains red even when not streaming. According to the reference information, a steady red light on the Camera E1 typically indicates that the camera is powered on or live streaming. Since your other cameras show a blue light when not streaming, which signifies that the account binding is successful and the device is working normally, there might be a few things to check:
-
Multiple Users: Ensure that no one else is accessing the live video. If multiple users are logged into the same account or if family members are watching the video at the same time, this could cause the red light to remain on.
-
Apple Home App Settings: If you’re using the Apple Home app, make sure that the “stream & allowed recording” option is enabled. Sometimes, specific settings in the app might affect the camera’s behavior.
-
Reset and Reconfigure: If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, consider resetting the camera to its factory settings and setting it up again. This can sometimes clear any persistent glitches.
-
Firmware Check: Although you mentioned that all cameras are updated to the newest firmware, it’s always a good idea to double-check if any additional updates are available.
If these steps don’t help, it might be a unique issue with that specific camera. I recommend reaching out to Aqara’s customer support for further assistance. Please contact Customer Service Team by Aqara Home App (Profile>Help&Feedback>Customer Service) or scanning the QR code:
