Hi everyone,
I recently set up an Aqara Camera Hub G350 and successfully connected it to my Homey Pro via Matter (Matter-over-WiFi). The hub connection is stable.
However, I am running into a strict bridging issue with some older Zigbee child devices. I managed to successfully pair a first-generation Xiaomi motion sensor (lumi.sensor_motion) and a wireless switch (lumi.sensor_switch) directly to the G350 hub. Both sensors show up and work perfectly inside the native Aqara Home app.
The problem is that the G350 refuses to expose these legacy sensors across the Matter Bridge. When inspecting the Matter cluster diagnostics in Homey Pro, the endpoints for these child devices are completely missing—the hub is intentionally filtering them out and not translating them into Matter accessories.
Is this a known firmware limitation or a strict Matter certification whitelist that blocks legacy “lumi” branded devices from being bridged to third-party controllers? Does anyone know if there are plans to allow these older devices to pass through via a future firmware update, or is this a permanent hard block?
Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like it may have been overlooked, the sensors are still in the app under „Add accessory”, so I wouldn’t say it’s a region lock. A bit newer sensors like the P1 or door and window sensor are properly exposed over Matter.
Maybe nobody tested those (in terms of Matter integration) and it was just never fixed?
Not all Aqara sub-devices are able to connect to third-party Matter ecosystems via the Aqara Hub. We have never stated that Xiaomi sub-devices are compatible with the Aqara Hub, nor is such usage officially endorsed by Xiaomi.
Certain legacy Aqara sub-devices, particularly mainland China SKUs, lack Matter functionality when paired with the Aqara Hub. Kindly refer to Aqara’s official supported device list for Matter integration. Any models outside this list will fail to properly join third-party Matter ecosystems.

Thank you both for the quick replies! @Aqara_PM_Donie, I appreciate the official confirmation regarding the Matter compatibility list and the Xiaomi sub-devices. It totally makes sense now why they are being filtered out. Looks like it’s finally time for me to upgrade those old sensors. Thanks again for the help!

Hello, we are not talking about a regular Zigbee channel, but about waking up Thread using the M3 gateway.
Yeah but he is asking about child devices not exposing to matter bridge via the G350
