__Lesson 4. Setting up the APP security system (video surveillance cameras)
Good afternoon.
As in the previous lesson, I will give many screenshots of the settings.
Today we will look at the “arming/disarming the security alarm” settings block.
Fig.1
This settings section allows the user to choose the methods of arming/disarming the security alarm.
The “arming delay” setting makes a timeout after arming the security. This allows the user to arm the security and leave protected room for a certain time.
Fig.2
The “automatic arming/disarming the alarm” setting allows the user to choose the methods of arming/disarming the security alarm. This setting is important if the user wants to use additional conditions, devices, time for starting/stopping the security system.
The first such setting is “gestures and faces”, as you know, Aqara cameras support reading hand gestures. This function can be used to start/stop the security.
Fig.3
The “zoning” setting allows you to turn on/off the alarm by determining your location (phone).
Fig. 4
The “timer” setting allows the user to turn on/off the alarm at a certain time of day that will be set.
Fig. 5
And the last setting in this block is “devices”. This setting allows you to trigger the alarm using Aqara devices.
As an example, using the G5 camera, you can turn on/off the alarm. If the G5 camera is “On” then turn on the alarm. If the camera is “Off” - turn off the alarm. You can use the G5 camera On/Off to control the alarm.
Also, other devices can trigger the alarm, for example, a hidden motion sensor that only you know about, or using a mini button…

This concludes the lesson.
More to come.
