I’m based in Canada.

For me, the biggest focus is definitely network stability and data privacy. I want reliable access when I’m away from home, but I also care about how and where my footage is stored.

Cloud storage (HomeGuardian) helps a lot with AI automations and smart detections. It’s also convenient not having to maintain a NAS/SAN just to store camera footage. Having everything accessible remotely without managing extra hardware is a big plus.

That said, personally I find the menu and overall interface a bit difficult to navigate. Some options aren’t grouped in the same place, and it sometimes takes 2–3–4 clicks to access certain settings or view videos. A more centralized and streamlined layout would really improve the experience.

Overall it’s useful, but there’s definitely room to make it more user-friendly :slightly_smiling_face:

HomeGuardian is a good idea that appears to get little attention.

  1. PayPal is hurting the Aqara HomeGuardian user experience. (read the forums)
  2. Navigation and getting the data is an issue. It’s important to make the process quick and easy.
  3. The cloud service is important and should be an option. It shouldn’t be painful and frustrating to use.

It took me MONTHS! to sign up for because customer service could not figure it out and kept feeding me free 3-month codes till the process was fixed and you could use other options other than PayPal.

I am not looking forward to coming up on the renew process…
