Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum and I hope I can get some help with my setup. I’ve been using a CCU3 with the latest software for a few weeks now, along with smoke detectors, window contacts, and light switches. While I’m getting the hang of programming through the web interface, I’m facing a challenge that I need assistance with.
Here’s my goal: I want to create a light schedule that simulates presence during my absence, especially in the evening and night hours. The idea is to have multiple lights turn on and off at different times to make it look like someone is home. I’ve managed to set up the schedule to run during specific time frames and control it with a virtual remote. However, I’m encountering two main issues:
- The light schedule only runs once, and I want it to repeat daily until I deactivate it.
- I can only control the schedule with the virtual remote during the predefined time window, but I need to be able to activate or deactivate it at any time, regardless of the schedule.
For example, my schedule is set to run from 8 PM to 6 AM. If I go on a trip, I’d like to activate the light simulation in the morning before leaving. The lights should follow the programmed schedule starting at 8 PM and continue doing so every day until I return and deactivate them.
Despite extensive research, I haven’t found a solution yet. I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance from more experienced Homematic users. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Matl
