Hello, I have several H2 EU light switches. I’m playing with Matter, so I switched one of those to communicate over Thread protocol, used it in some automations like before and just left it be.
But I noticed, that from time to time, the device lost connection to the hub (M3) and the automation wasn’t triggered. The mobile application also displayed that the device is not reachable. How can I debug this?
There is no such issue when the switch is running over Zigbee… Thanks

Hey! Thread can be a bit tricky sometimes. Have you checked the signal strength to the M3 hub? Also, having enough Thread-enabled devices that act as routers can make a big difference in network stability. Sometimes just adding another powered Thread device closer to the switch can solve these kinds of issues.

How solid is your local network? I mean your WiFi-Fi and LAN? How is your M3 connected? Via LAN or WiFi? These has a lot to do with the performance of thread devices including Thread border routers and controllers.

Thanks. I will try to switch more devices to Thread protocol. I think the signal is pretty solid (the app indicates strong signal strength). The M3 hub is connected to the router over LAN and the light switch is about 5 meters away from it…
But does anyone pls know if I can find some logs somewhere which would give me more details? Thanks

I haven’t see any app that can provide thread network logs. The Eve app can show you few of your thread network and the connected devices.
