After setting up my smart home, I’ve been experimenting with different lighting configurations to enhance the ambiance of my space. One discovery that I’d like to share is about adjusting the direction of my lights for a more visually appealing setup.
I recently installed the Lyra floor lamp and Light Bars from the New Immersion Kit. Initially, I followed the standard setup by pointing the lights towards the wall, but I found the effect underwhelming. The colors and effects just didn’t pop as much as I hoped they would.
Curious to see if changing the direction would make a difference, I decided to face the lights outward instead of inward. The results were surprising! When gaming or watching movies, the outward-facing lights created a much more immersive experience. The colors and effects became more vibrant and dynamic, especially when paired with some lava lamps. It’s like having a mini light show in my room!
I encourage others to experiment with their lighting setups. Every room and personal preference is different, so what works for me might not work for everyone. But it’s definitely worth trying before settling on a setup. Don’t hesitate to play around with angles and configurations—your space might just come alive in ways you never imagined!
Happy experimenting, and feel free to share your own lighting hacks or setups below! ![]()
