I recently set up a door open/close sensor to automatically turn on my lights when I open the door between sunset and sunrise. It’s been working great, but I’ve noticed that when I leave my house, the lights sometimes turn on unexpectedly. This is a bit of an issue because I don’t want the lights to come on when I’m not home. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
I’ve tried adjusting the sensor’s settings, but nothing seems to work. Maybe there’s a smarter way to integrate this with my existing smart home setup. For example, could I link the sensor with a motion detector or another device to ensure the lights only turn on when I’m actually inside?
