Hi there!
I have the Aqara M100 hub and a few temperature and humidity sensors. Periodically, my temperature and humidity sensors will lose connectivity, and the only way to add them back is to remove them from the Aqara App and re-pair them. It’s kind of a pain! When connected, it says the zigbee signal is ‘good’ so I’m not sure what I could be doing wrong here? Any advice?
I don’t think you are doing anything wrong but I’m not sure you need to remove from the App and re-pair. I would simply pull the Battery for a moment and re-insert it and see if that helps. There could be numerous reasons for the lose of connection. Every now and then maybe 1x or 2x every few months one of my sensors will lose connection and pulling the Battery and re-inserting it seems to fix the issue.
I’ve not been able to figure out what is causing it. All the other devices and sensors purr right along just fine. The sensors that do go off-line are never the same ones either it’s random. It’s a weird hiccup that I’ve not been able to narrow down.
Perhaps make sure the Aqara hub is not near other RF devices (e.g. wifi AP / router, other zigbee hubs, etc) … anecdotally I’ve read (FWIW) that at least 5’ to 6’ separation between devices is best. Also, make sure your Aqara hub, Hue hub and other zigbee hub are not on the same zigbee channels (11 to 26) … spread them out.
