I just wanted to take a moment to express how much I’m loving these new lights from Govee! They’ve completely transformed the ambiance of my home, especially in my basement lounge and bar area. The RGBIC spotlights and path lights have been game-changers, adding such a warm and inviting touch to the space. I’ve been experimenting with different color combinations and settings, and it’s been so much fun to see how they adapt to different moods and occasions.
One thing I’ve noticed, though, is that I have two Kwikset locks integrated with SmartThings, and one of them shows the battery percentage while the other doesn’t. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this or knows why it might be happening. I’d love to get both locks working consistently!
Another thing I’ve been exploring is setting up a more complex light automation using motion and garage door sensors. I want the lights to turn on if motion is detected and the garage door is closed, or when the garage door is open between sunset and sunrise. I’ve tried using the Rule Machine for this, but I’m still figuring out how to incorporate an ‘OR’ condition within the app. If anyone has tips or has successfully set something like this up, I’d be thrilled to hear about it!
Speaking of automation, I’ve been really impressed with how easy it is to integrate Govee lights into my outdoor spaces. I’ve been inspired by the SummerModeOn event and can’t wait to share my own outdoor lighting setups with the community.
