Hey everyone, I’m really excited about my new home automation setup and have been having a blast getting everything up and running. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag with my Lutron Pico remotes, and I’m hoping someone here can help me figure it out.
I’ve been using these remotes to control my Hue lights, and everything works perfectly when I press the buttons. But here’s the issue: the hold action isn’t triggering the rule I’ve set up. I’ve checked the logs, and I can see that the button hold is being detected, but the rule just doesn’t fire.
Let me walk you through what I’ve done so far:
- Configuration: The remote is set up as
p,4,Master Bedroom. - Logs: When I press the button, I see entries like:
[dev:34]2020-03-14 03:03:09.852 pm info Hue color lamp 4 was turned off But when I hold the button, I only see the hold detection logs without any rule execution. - Rule Setup: The rule is straightforward—it should turn off the bedroom lights when the button is held.
I’m really curious if there’s something I’m missing here. Maybe a configuration detail or a setting that needs to be adjusted? I’ve scoured the documentation and forums, but I haven’t found anything that quite matches my issue.
If anyone has any insights or suggestions, I’d be incredibly grateful! It would be awesome to get this working smoothly, and I’m sure others might benefit from the solution as well.
Thanks in advance for your help! ![]()
