Luumr Smart Bulb Review and Pairing Tips

As I embarked on my latest home automation project, I decided to give the Luumr smart bulbs a try. After some research, I found these G9 LED bulbs to be a promising alternative to the Hue lights I already own. Here’s my experience so far:First off, pairing the bulbs was a bit of a puzzle at first. I discovered that you need to flick the switch on and off four times, waiting about two seconds between each flick. Once you do that, they start flashing, and the Hue bridge picks them up seamlessly. It was a bit frustrating at first, but once I got the hang of it, it worked like a charm. In terms of performance, these bulbs are impressively responsive. They turn on and off almost instantly, which is a definite plus compared to the Hue lights that have a noticeable fade time. I personally prefer the snappiness of these bulbs, though I do wish the Hue lights could match that speed. One thing to note is the color temperature. While the bulbs are versatile, I found the warm setting to be a bit cooler than expected. If you’re mixing these with Hue lights, this slight discrepancy might be something to keep in mind. However, this minor quirk doesn’t detract from the overall experience.Overall, I’m quite satisfied with the Luumr bulbs. They’ve added a nice touch of flexibility to my lighting setup, and I’m excited to see how they perform in the long run. If you’re looking for a reliable alternative to Hue, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try!
