My M2 hub can no longer connect to the LAN network since I tried to update it. I’ve rebooted it without success.
After resetting it, it’s asking for Wi-Fi information instead of using the Ethernet connection.
Can you help me?
@valerie_couraudon It sounds like you’re experiencing connectivity issues with your Aqara Hub M2 after an update. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
-
Ethernet Connection: Ensure that you’re using a network cable with an RJ45 plug to connect the LAN port of the hub to your router. Check that the cable is securely connected and look for the yellow or red indicator lights on the network port, which should light up when connected properly.
-
Resetting the Hub: Since you’ve already reset the hub, make sure you follow the process correctly: press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until the yellow/red light begins to flash. This indicates the hub is ready for network configuration.
-
Network Configuration: After resetting, if it’s asking for Wi-Fi, it might be due to the hub defaulting to wireless settings. Just ensure that the 2.4GHz network is available, as the hub only supports this frequency.
-
App Instructions: In the Aqara Home app, go to Accessories > “+” > select Aqara Hub M2, and follow the steps to connect either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
If these steps don’t help, it might be a more specific issue with the update. I recommend reaching out to the Aqara Customer Service Team through the Aqara Home App (Profile > Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or by scanning the QR code:
Thank you for your feedback! Could you please specify the exact firmware version number of the M2 you are using?
