Make Aqara Bulb flashing?

In case of the Aqara alarmsystem goes on, it is possible to make your colored Aqara bulbs flash, the same effect as on Aqara lightstrip in a automation?

Yes it is possible. Do you use HomeKit?

You can use the Apple Home Automations. Use a shortcut if the alarm system triggers, run this:

Loop 1000 times
If Alarm System is triggered
Turn light on
Wait 1 second
Turn light off
Wait 1 second
Else
Turn lights off
Stop shortcut
Loop End

Hello, such automation is quite easy to do with Aqara home, if necessary, I will tell you how to do it.

thanks for the answer, but a solution in shortcuts was probably what I least hoped for since I’m a very very noob in that world and have never really used it. So I don’t even know where to put those commands? :joy:

But an automation in the signal app MUST be run from the mobile, or for example a MacBook. and I don’t think you can export such a solution to HomeKit. but I use HomeKit a lot, and thanks for the answer.

Hi Gafich10, if you have an easy solution that isn’t a shortcut , I’d be really happy - great!
Please tell me…:: :smile::pray:t2:

Hello, here you have at your disposal the automation of a blinking lamp with an interval of 1 second. If necessary, you can change the interval. If you want to disable the blinking, set an additional interval and turn off this automation.

You need an Home Hub such as an Apple TV or an HomePod or HomePod mini for Apple Home Automations. You can configure the shortcut this way:
Home > Automations > + > New Automation > If Device get controlled > your Device > If Triggered > in the choose_device-menu Convert to shortcut (at the bottom) > configure your shortcut.

(Pls like for points)

KingDando - If you would like, I would be very happy if you would explain to me how to do and use the shortcut!? :pray:t2: And can you set the time to only 0.5 seconds so that it flashes faster?

Use the tutorial to open the shortcut menu in the Home app.

I can’t upload a image :frowning:

Sorry, I uploaded the wrong screenshot.

If you want instant switching, make two automations, then it will be On Off On Off… very fast. Stop blinking only after stopping the automation.

The easiest way for me would be to just create a new RGB Dynamic Effect. You can fully customize the colors, brightness, and transition speed right in the Aqara app. It gives you way more control than trying to tweak the preset effects.

After you can activate this effect from an Aqara automatisation.

Once you’ve made it, you can also share the scene with other ecosystems later (like HomeKit, Alexa, or Google Home), so everything stays in sync when you trigger it.

Thanks Marc, but talk about a lightbulb E27.
I can’t see anywhere that I can create dynamic effects my E27 - ONLY on my lightstrip.

I do it with the T2 light bulb. Go to the details screen of the bulb. Hit the + button and select White or RGB Dynamic Effects. Create the effect you want and save it. Then create a new scene using the effect I just created. After that I use the Scene Sync to make the effect available in Home Assistant and HomeKit.

Hi 0087. Strange, I don’t have that option with dynamic effect. Could it be because it is connected via Mater and not Zigbee?

You can use the dynamic effect - Security - then the light flashes red.

I can’t say for sure. I do have mine connected via Zigbee to the M3 Hub and then the M3 connected to HA and HomeKit via Matter. Hope that helps.

Hi All,

THEN I got the dynamic effect to work and all the suggestions you made. It was simply because the bulb was set up as Matter it not Will work and so I just missed that function - now it’s connected through Zigbee. Thank you all for your input!! :pray:t2:
