I’d like to share how I’ve been using several Aqara devices in my smart home setup to improve both convenience and security.
Mailbox Notification with Vibration Sensor
I mounted an Aqara Vibration Sensor on the flap of my mailbox. Every time the flap is moved (when mail is delivered), a notification is sent via Home Assistant. This simple solution ensures I never miss any important letters or packages.
Door & Window Security with P2 Sensors
I have 10 Aqara Door & Window P2 Sensors installed throughout my home. Whenever no one is at home, these sensors act as part of my security system: if a door or window is opened, an alarm is triggered immediately. This adds peace of mind and helps protect against intruders.
Smart Automations with the FP2 Presence Sensor
The FP2 Presence Sensor is at the core of my automation routines:
• When strong sunlight is detected, my blinds automatically close to keep the home cool.
• At nightfall, my lighting scenes are activated automatically to create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
This combination of Aqara devices has really improved daily life: smarter routines, better comfort, and increased safety.
