I’ve been exploring the possibility of manually installing the Supervisor (Hassio) on my existing Home Assistant setup. I’ve successfully installed Home Assistant manually on Raspbian, but now I’m curious if I can integrate the Supervisor without relying on Docker, especially since I’m running everything on a Raspberry Pi and want to optimize resource usage.
While I found some guides online, they all seemed to involve Docker, which I wanted to avoid. I’m particularly interested in understanding the performance impact of adding the Supervisor. Initially, I tried using the HomeAssistant image, but it felt a bit slow. After switching to a manual Raspbian install, the performance improved significantly. I’m wondering if the Supervisor itself would introduce any noticeable lag or resource consumption.
I’d love to hear from others who’ve successfully installed the Supervisor manually or have insights into its performance characteristics. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
