Hey everyone! I’ve been really into DIY projects lately, especially with my Govee LED light strips. I came across this awesome idea for Mario Day and decided to give it a try. Mario and Luigi are such iconic characters, and it’s amazing how they’ve been around for over 40 years! I thought it would be cool to create a dynamic light scene that changes colors to match different Mario moments—like when Mario collects a mushroom or shoots fireballs. ![]()
I started by experimenting with the color settings on my Govee app. I found that warm reds and bright yellows really pop for those fireball moments. For the mushroom phase, I went with a vibrant green to make it stand out. The transitions between colors are smooth, and I love how it adds a playful touch to my space.
To make it even more interactive, I set up a simple automation using my smart hub. Now, whenever I press a button on my remote, it triggers the light strip to cycle through different Mario-themed colors. It’s a fun way to get into the Mario spirit without any complicated setup. ![]()
I’d love to hear what everyone else is doing for Mario Day! Are there any other creative ways you’re incorporating smart lights into your celebrations? Let’s share and inspire each other! ![]()
