Hey everyone! I just got my Smart Things system set up, and I’m really excited about all the possibilities it offers. However, I’ve run into a bit of a hiccup that I need some help with. I want to set up my account as the master account so that when I share it with my family, they have limited access. This is crucial because, as I found out recently, my daughter decided to play a prank by controlling the system, which led to some pretty chaotic moments—like my lights flickering and the siren going off unexpectedly! FUNNY, but definitely not something I want to deal with regularly.
I’ve tried looking into the settings, but I can’t seem to find an option to designate a master account. Is there a way to do this? I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully set up a similar system. Maybe there’s a workaround or a feature I’m missing.
Also, if anyone has tips on how to manage family access without giving them full control, I’d be really grateful! I want everyone to enjoy the convenience of Smart Things without the risk of another late-night scare. Thanks in advance for your help!
