Hello everyone, I’m currently exploring the transition to Matter-enabled devices as they become more prevalent. Currently, I rely heavily on Zigbee for most of my smart home setup, using a Conbee II controller. I’m curious about how others are handling the integration of Matter devices into their existing Zigbee setups. From what I understand, there are a few options:1. Upgrade to a Home Assistant Connect ZBT-1: This device supposedly supports both Zigbee and Thread, allowing it to work with Matter devices. However, I’ve read concerns about its range and reliability. Has anyone had a good experience with this?2. Add a Separate Thread Dongle: I’m interested in hearing about specific recommendations for Thread dongles and whether they can coexist with a Conbee II without causing interference.3. Use an External Matter Controller: Devices like Google Home or Alexa could serve as Matter controllers. While this isn’t ideal for me, I’m curious about others’ experiences with this approach.I’m leaning towards finding a reliable Thread solution that can work alongside my existing Zigbee setup. Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, and happy smart home tinkering! ![]()
