Matter Hub Integration and Room Sync Challenges

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of Home Assistant for the past few weeks, and it’s been a fantastic journey so far. After spending several years with ioBroker, I’m thrilled to see how smoothly things are running with Home Assistant. I’ve managed to set up a free cloud connection, which allows me to control my devices via Google Home, and it’s been working like a charm. However, as I’m exploring the Matter Hub integration, I’ve come across an interesting challenge that I’d love to get some insights on.

I’ve started testing the Matter Hub by making three entities available, but I noticed something odd—unlike my previous setup with ioBroker, the room information isn’t automatically synced to Google Home. This means I have to manually input room details in the Google Home app for each entity. Considering I have over 150 sensors and actuors spread across 10 Google Homes, room segmentation is crucial for both functionality and user experience. My family relies heavily on this setup, and any hiccup could lead to confusion or frustration.

I’m curious to know if this is a known limitation of the Matter Hub or if there’s something I might have missed during the setup. Should I be patient and wait for future updates, or is there a workaround I can implement in the meantime? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully navigated this or has tips on how to streamline the process. Let’s keep the conversation flowing and help each other make the most out of our smart home setups! :rocket:
