I have an Aqara M3 hub, with soms Aqara motion sensors, Some Aqara door sensors connected via Thread/Matter. Those all work fine from within the hub. This Matter network is also connected to a Home Assistant matter server. I can see & read all matter device on home assistant as well.
However I also have 11 Shelly smart plugs connected to the matter network. Those have all been added via the Aqara hub and used to work well. They can also be seen and used from withinig home assistant.
Recently however all but 1 plugs are shown as unavailable in the Aqara hub. They can still be seen an used from within home assistant.
Were they added to the Aqara Hub first or added to another device first? I’m using Onvis Matter over Thread plugs connected to Aqara first and not having any issued.
Also, what method are you using to expose the Matter devices on the M3 to HA?
They were add first to the Aqara hub. Then via Matter added to home assistant.
However in the mean time we have had a complete power failure at home and when power was restored and everything came back up… al issues in aqara were resolved, all plugs are available again.
Uhm that already happened during the power loss of course.
A manual reboot did not solve the problem. But after everything came up after the full power loss, all issues in Aqara were resolved, all plugs are available again.
This is also something you need to look at when pairing with HA in future, there is a setting in the companion app which sometimes selects the aqara m3 as the main device for ha pairing make sure its your ha dongle as this can lead to problems of stuff dropping.
Well, my first matter devices were Aqara motion detectors so I thought it best to pair them with the Aqara hub. So the Aqara M3 hub was and is the primary matter controller.
The Home assistant matter add on came later.
