Is it possible to connect Matter direct via Thread Network or only via Zigbee > Aqara Hub > Matter ?

It depends on which product you’re talking about. Some (particularly the newer ones) support native Thread/Matter, some like the T1M light can only be Matter controlled through a Zigbee to Matter bridge requiring an Aqara hub.

I learned that
Matter = The common language (Software).
Thread= One of the specialized wireless networks it uses to move (Hardware/Transport).
So I suppose Zigbee could be another wireless network that transport Matter.

Zigbee can’t use Matter communication protocols, the way a bridge works is that the Zigbee device connects to the Aqara hub which then makes a sort of translation layer which converts the incoming Matter commands to Zigbee commands which are then sent to the device.

Right, I’ve never used Zigbee and I thought it was IP-based but it is not which explains why Matter need a hub.
