Hey everyone! I’ve been really enjoying the Cam Plus feature on my Wyze Cam v3 Pro. It’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, especially for keeping an eye on my courtyard. However, I noticed that the event playback was limited to just 12 seconds, which was a bit frustrating since I wanted longer clips to capture all the activity.
After some research, I came across the settings for Cam Plus and realized that the event duration depends on the motion detection. If motion is detected for 6 minutes, the video will be 6 minutes long. But when I set up scheduled event recording to an SD card, I found out that there’s a 5-minute limit for each clip. This was a bit of a letdown, but I figured out a workaround!
I adjusted the sensitivity settings and made sure the detection zone covers the entire courtyard. This way, the camera captures longer clips when motion is detected for extended periods. I also set the SD card to continuous recording, which helps in capturing more detailed footage.
Another tip I found was to use the cloud storage for Cam Plus, which allows for longer event videos. This way, even if the SD card has a time limit, the cloud storage ensures that I don’t miss any important moments.
If anyone else is struggling with short event playback times, I’d recommend checking these settings and experimenting with different configurations. It’s all about finding the right balance between sensitivity and recording duration to suit your needs.
