Hi everyone, I’m exploring the transition from Insteon to openHAB for my new home setup. After years of using Insteon, I’m excited to dive into openHAB’s coding capabilities for more advanced automation. I’m currently deciding between the USB Powerlinc Insteon modem and the Universal Devices ISY994i Controller. My main goals are to have the broadest range of device control, avoid cloud dependency, and leverage Python for advanced rules in openHAB.
