Maximizing Google Home Integration Across Multiple Rooms

Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to optimize my Google Home setup across multiple rooms in my home. I recently added two Google Home Mini speakers to my system, bringing the total to three devices. My goal is to create a seamless experience where I can walk into any room with a Google Home device and control the lights with a simple voice command like ‘Hey Google, Lights On’—and have it only affect the lights in that specific room.

At the moment, I’m still figuring out the best way to set this up. I’ve tried looking into both the ISY portal and the Google Home app, but I haven’t found a straightforward solution yet. I’m curious if anyone has successfully implemented this kind of room-specific command system. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating my Google Home setup with other smart devices, like my Philips Hue lights and my SmartThings hub. It’s amazing how these devices can work together to create a truly connected home. For instance, I’ve set up a routine where turning off the lights in the evening also dims the TV and sets the thermostat to a cozy temperature. It’s little touches like these that make living with smart technology so enjoyable.

I’d also love to hear about how others are using voice commands to control their smart homes. Do you have any favorite routines or commands that make your daily life easier? I’m always looking for new ways to streamline my home automation setup. Let’s continue the conversation and share our experiences—happy to learn and grow together in this smart home journey! :star2:
